Manya is a Senior Research Fellow at Centre for Trade and Investment Law, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. She advises the government on international trade and investment queries and disputes, India’s stance in multilateral and bilateral treaty negotiations and the impact of multilateral rules on domestic policy. She represents India as a lawyer in the negotiating team for government procurement, subsidies and state-owned enterprises in Free Trade Agreement Negotiations with countries including UK, EU, US, Australia, Oman, and UAE. Previously, she was an Associate at TPM Consultants and Solicitors where she represented various Indian companies in Indian and foreign trade remedy investigations.

Manya graduated from Hidayatullah National Law University in 2018 with a specialization in trade, investment and corporate law. Along with her professional commitments, she has an inclination towards academia and writes on evolving issues of trade and investment law. Apart from law, Manya enjoys reading Hindi and Urdu poetry, literature and has a strong affiliation for visual arts.
